Creative Movement Class with Madison Contemporary Dance
August 24, 2023 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
MCM welcomes Madison Contemporary Dance. Artistic director Sara Rohs will teach creative movement dance classes for all ages. Caregivers are welcome to participate. Creative Movement is a contemporary form of dance that combines movement and artistic expression without the need for specific training. Creative Movement is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity. It focuses on the development of motor skills and emotional expression. Young children learn best by playing and exploring, so dance games, interactive songs, and imaginative stories will be plentiful in creative movement! You will see lots of play with parachutes, scarves, wands, and musical instruments.
The program will be presented twice, at the following times:
Session 1: 5:30-6 pm
Session 2: 6:30-7 pm
