Memberships for Schools, Daycares, and Groups
Schools, daycares, after-school groups, and other organizations who wish to bring children to the museum frequently may buy a Group Membership.
Group memberships include one year of unlimited free admission for covered adults and children on weekdays (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) or weekends (weekend visits only available for groups under 25 people). Visits must be pre-scheduled with our group visit coordinator at least 1 week in advance using the reservation request form (subject to availability). Daycare-level member groups may reserve member tickets on our website prior to the day of your visit.

Unlimited Admission
- Free general admission for covered children and adult chaperones, Thursdays & Fridays year-round, or weekends for groups under 25 people
- A membership pays for itself after just 2 visits!
Bonus Discounts
- 10% discounts on all MCM purchases
- Discounts at Overture Center for the Arts and Children’s Theater of Madison and other community partners.
Membership Policies
- Group memberships grant free admission on weekdays (Monday-Friday) only for the specified number of children and adult chaperones. Additional attendees above the covered number of adults and children will be charged the regular group admission rate of $7 per person, less the applicable 10% member discount.
- Groups must bring no less than one adult chaperone for every 5 students when visiting the museum.
- Classroom, Classroom Plus, School, and School Plus members must make a reservation at least 1 week in advance of any museum visit, to ensure adequate staffing and availability. Please use the reservation request form to book your group visit reservation. Visit dates are not guaranteed. Childcare members are not required to make advance reservations.
Group Memberships and Libraries
Group Memberships and associated benefits/passes only apply for an entity’s employees, NOT library patrons or the public. We welcome libraries to share more information with their patrons about our Access for Everyone programs to learn about reduced price admissions.
Currently, our other membership policies do not provide memberships for libraries to purchase for their patrons to use. If patrons are interested in visiting the museum, we have personal/individual memberships at various levels including our Access for Everyone program starting as low as $15 for the year
