Make 2020 disappear with a magic show by one of our favorite in-museum performers, James the Magician. This online event also features a special appearance by US Congressional Representative Mark Pocan, the Genie of the Hourglass, and more. We’ll finish with a New Year’s Eve countdown and a cathartic pumpkin splat.
To make things easy on parents and caregivers, we posted the video now and you can stream it at whatever time works best for your family. The pumpkin drop video (05:17 long) and start it at 2 minutes and 43 seconds before your chosen New Year’s time. Both videos are linked below.
And a note about sending 2020 on its way… This year has been challenging for all and heartbreakingly tragic for many. We know we can’t put that all behind us by simply tossing a pumpkin off the roof. But at Madison Children’s Museum, we believe in the healing power of play. It’s good for kids. It’s good for adults. Learn more about our methodology on our blog.
Pumpkin Drop Video
Want to cut to the chase and just see what happens to a really big, symbolic pumpkin when it falls from five stories onto a painted former parking garage? Watch the pumpkin-drop-only portion of the video on YouTube via the link below or watch it on our Facebook page.
