Early Explorers: DIY Peek-a-boo Book
by Heather Davis, MCM Early Learning Manager

It’s been a challenge for all of us during this time of social distancing; we feel tired, confused (what day is it?), uncertain, frustrated, and lonely. It’s even harder on young children who don’t have the vocabulary to express how they feel yet. Why can’t they go visit grandma or grandpa or crazy Aunt Coco?
You can make a special book for your little one to help address those feelings
Materials needed:
- Card stock (2 pieces per page)
- Xacto knife or scissors
- Glue
- Family photos
Directions:
- Gather some photos of family you’re wishing you could visit.
- Cut some peek-a-boo doors in a piece of card stock. (I made some that you opened from the top, the bottom and the sides.)
- Loosely glue the card stock pieces together. Add the photos.
- Play “peek-a-boo” with your friends and family!
