Madison’s real-life funhouse: The Madison Children’s Museum
Madison Magazine
BY MAIJA INVEISS
The Madison Children’s Museum is a real-life funhouse in downtown Madison. This gold winner for best museum is all about innovation, interaction and discovery.
Start at Possible-opolis, where you’ll run through a giant gerbil wheel, drop down an imaginative slide, play interactive games and scale a two-story climbing structure.
Venture through the Wildernest, a miniature village complete with activity huts, reading nests and a wood bridge made to look like bones.
During warmer months, explore the outdoors in three settings: the Rooftop Ramble, the Urb Garden and the Log Cabin. Even adults can join in the fun during Adult Swim, nights when adults get the museum to themselves to enjoy fun themes, drinks and a kid-free evening.
