Adult Swim events at the Madison Children’s Museum incorporate various themes throughout the year, but one has stuck around for five years running — the Sustainability Sideshow.

Fifth annual carnival shows lighter side of sustainability
Wisconsin State Journal
BY AMANDA FINN
The green-themed carnival is a fundraising effort shared between MCM and Sustain Dane and brings topics of sustainability to the forefront of the evening of fun on April 7 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Sustainability Sideshow is a 21 and up event featuring carnival games, themed food, live music, upcycled art and fashion as well as a workshop called FrankenMuppets.
FrankenMuppets involves upcycling stuffed animals, trolls and dolls to construct a one-of-a kind creation. The workshop is an add-on to the event itself and costs an additional $10.
Tickets for Sustainability Sideshow are $12.75 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Madisonchildrensmuseum.org.
Included with admission are delicacies such as edible insects, cotton candy and a popcorn bar. Other snacks and pizza will also be available for purchase as well as beer, wine and signature cocktails.
