Gabby Meet & Greet: FAQ

Check-in

  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your Gabby Meet & Greet time slot to allow for check-in. Your ticket includes museum admission, so you are welcome to arrive as early as 9 am and stay until the museum closes at 4 pm
  • All guests will check-in at our Front Desk on the First Floor. There, you will receive your special wristbands and maps
  • From there, you can move to the Welcome Table where staff and volunteers will assist you in putting on your wristbands, answering any questions you might have, and directing you around the museum
  • It will be a busy day! Plan plenty of time to park and arrive

Parking

  • Madison Children’s Museum does not have attached parking. There are two parking ramps located within easy walking distance of the museum and several areas of on-street metered parking. Visit our website for more information about parking
  • Pro-tip – use the address of the parking ramp you plan on using for the day in your driving app. Then you can navigate to the museum

Gabby Meet + Greet

  • Each group will have just 30 minutes to meet Gabby – she is so excited to meet all of you! You are allowed to start lining up 15 minutes before the start of your Meet + Greet time
  • Remember to have your phone out and ready when it is your turn. Staff will be on hand if adults want to be in the photo too
  • Each group is allowed one photo with Gabby to make sure everyone has the chance to get a photo
  • There will be a small number of standby tickets available each day – they are first come first served

Strollers + Wagons

  • Wagons are not allowed in the Gabby line; you can park your wagon or stroller in our Coat Room or in the overflow stroller lot, both on the First Floor
  • Personal mobility devices are always allowed

Lunch

Museum rules

  • Stay and play together. Grown-ups and children must stay together at all times. Adults are responsible for monitoring and assisting children in their care
  • Use walking feet. Keep it safe by slowing down. Walking feet with shoes are required at all times
  • Share the space. Be considerate of others playing near you. Do not throw objects
  • Help clean up. Cleaning up together is a fun part of learning. Help prevent damage to the exhibits so visitors after you can enjoy them, too
  • Eat only in the cafe area. For parents and caregivers with young children, the Cozy Cottage in the Wildernest offers the only exception to this rule
