Weddings & Parties at MCM

Madison Children’s Museum is a fabulous downtown location for an event for adults and children alike. We have four floors/exhibit spaces to choose from including indoor and outdoor areas. The museum is open for rental between 5 pm – 11:00 pm Friday – Wednesday. The museum has over 30,000 square feet of unique exhibits that will make your event a memorable one. 

From our stunning nighttime views of the Wisconsin capitol seen from our lush rooftop garden to our two-story indoor climber and slide, your guests will mix and mingle in our award-winning exhibits, enjoying delicious food and drinks. After hundreds of weddings, conferences, retirement parties, and thousands of birthday parties, our staff are experts in fun. We are happy to work with you to make your event a special night for your attendees. 

In addition to charming exhibits and our prime location, we are excited to offer a list of recommended caterers, and full bar service. Included in rental price is tables, chairs, access to a digital welcome wall, and all of the turns on the dragon slide that you can handle. 

The facility rental program at Madison Children’s Museum enables us to secure funds for great things like our Access for Everyone program (which includes discounted admission, free nights, and other programs), as well as exhibits, snacks for our chickens, and band aids. By choosing the museum for your next celebration, you are supporting children and families in our community.

  • Nonprofits receive a 30% discount
  • Prices are determined by number of floors reserved and day of the week
• Rental packages include space, tables, chairs, professional security staff, basic AV equipment—and basic planning
  • Not included in our packages: Food, drink, linens—and detailed day-of event coordination
  • Everyone can have a turn driving our vintage wooden Jeep
