Come Sail Away for Pirate Day Sunday 6/10
Ahoy, mateys! Do ye feel the urge to wear extravagant hats, horde treasure, raise the colors, or practice using your sea legs (even your peg one)? If you answered yes to any of these, take the plunge and join us at Madison Children’s Museum for Pirate Day on Sunday, June 10!
All day long in the Art Studio, you can make a paper pirate hat or in the Crow’s Nest on the Rooftop Ramble, you can search the horizon of Lake Mendota for pirate flags on the boats of our friends at Hoofers Sailing Club, then hoist our colors to signal them. You can try out your sea legs by participating in the Pirate Olympics from 1-3 p.m. on the Rooftop or make your own pirate flag in the Log Cabin 3-4 p.m. Be sure to wear your pirate swag, as it will be a finer event than a trip to Davy Jones’ locker!
Check out this event and others on our website calendar.
