Urb Garden Update!

We know it has been a while since we’ve added a new exhibit to MCM, but we are so happy to announce our new Urb Garden Exhibit opening up on August 8! Thanks to grants and generous donations, we’ve been able to create this new learning space for kids to teach them about sustainability, healthy eating, gardening, wildlife and green spaces in urban settings.

The Urb Garden is going to be really cool, and we’re not just saying that since it’s our exhibit-we promise! On top of gardening related stations like watering, planting and growing areas, there is going to be a tree house, observation deck, a worm bin, an ant farm, music stations, artwork, shaded seated areas and so much more. Seriously, this space is going to be an awesome parking lot makeover.

To celebrate this exhibit’s grand opening PLUS welcoming our new director, we’re throwing a Back-Lot Bash on August 8! Please come and join us in the parking lot next to the new Urb Garden from 4p.m.-7p.m. to celebrate. We’ll be handing out seed packets for you to grow at home in your own urban garden, too.

Though the exhibit is still in production, we’re able to share with you some of the plans and photos of exhibit pieces as well as a new t-shirt design. Check them out, tell us what you think!
