Open Doors for All Families: Caring for Kids in Scary Times

Friday, January 30 @ 9:00 am 4:00 pm

At Madison Children’s Museum, fostering community with children, families, and neighbors is at the core of our mission, and that work has never felt more important. We stand in solidarity with children and families, today, and always. Until Black and Brown families are safe from inequitable treatment and violence, no one is safe. At MCM, we stand for justice, empathy, and human dignity, and we believe that coming together is a radical act of hope.

This Friday, instead of closing our doors, we are opening them even wider—not for business, but for community, connection, and care. These are scary times, especially for our children. But when we gather, play, and create together, we show our kids what true community looks like. We show them they are not alone.

Every family is welcome. No tickets required; admission is free all day.

For resources on how to talk to children about upsetting news and current events, visit Caring for Kids in Scary Times.
