Why Become a Corporate Member?
We offer corporate memberships for businesses and organizations across all industries and all sizes. With flexible price points, MCM welcomes you to experience the joy and enrichment of play firsthand at the level that works for your budget.
You and your employees become part of the MCM family and have access to everything the museum has to offer. From our innovative programming and award-winning exhibits to our adventurous outdoor spaces, your employees and their families can explore the many educational opportunities happening every day at Madison Children’s Museum.
For corporate members, it’s generally less about recognition and more about direct perks for your team to unleash their inner child (we all have them!), unlock their curiosity, and connect in our museum spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a corporate membership different than a corporate sponsorship?
A corporate membership offers less recognition than a sponsorship and varies on tax benefits. Businesses and organizations become members so that their employees get the benefit of enjoying the museum’s offerings, whereas those who sponsor seek to emphasize the philanthropic nature of sponsorship and the accompanying public recognition.
How is a corporate membership different from a personal/individual membership?
The primary difference between corporate and personal memberships is that corporate memberships may be “checked out” and utilized by any employee, while personal memberships have a fixed list of people who may use them and cannot be shared between households. Corporate memberships do not include reciprocal admission benefits at participating organizations in the ASTC or ACM networks.
Do I have to be Madison-based to be eligible for corporate membership?
Not at all! We are proud to offer memberships to businesses and organizations across the State of Wisconsin and beyond.
Do I have to be a certain type of business to be eligible?
No, everyone is welcome. Our members range from for-profit businesses to non-profit community entities.
I’m affiliated with a library and want to offer passes to our library patrons. Can we get a membership for the public to use? ?
No, not at this time. Corporate memberships and associated benefits/passes only apply for an entity’s employees, NOT library patrons or the public. We welcome libraries to share more information with their patrons about our Access for Everyone programs to learn about reduced price admissions.
How long do corporate memberships last?
Your membership benefits are available for one year. Adult Swim passes and Play Passes will expire on the date indicated on each pass (no less than one year from when you pledge or pay your gift).
If I pay for a corporate membership in one year, does it automatically renew the following year?
No. We do not automatically renew your corporate membership from one year to the next. We will reach out to you approximately two months before your membership expires to check in about renewing for the next year.
Can I be a corporate member and a corporate sponsor at the same time?
Absolutely! Depending on the size of your gift, we can split your gift so that you get the benefits you desire of the corporate membership and the benefits of the corporate sponsor that you desire. It’s best to give us a call at (608) 354-0534 to talk through the options.
What is the difference between Membership Cards and Play Passes?
Corporate Membership Cards are reusable for any current employee and grant admission for up to six people at one time. The cards can be checked out through your HR department or given to specific employees at your discretion.
Play Passes are for one time use and single admission. They can be used to supplement your available membership cards during high employee demand, used as prizes, or shared with patrons/customers/clients.
My company has a corporate membership. What do I need to bring when I visit?
You must bring a physical Corporate Membership Card or a complimentary museum pass with you when visiting the museum. Contact your company’s representative to pick up the card or pass you need prior to your visit.
Can I use my employee ID instead of the Corporate Membership Card when I visit?
No, you must present the Corporate Membership Card when you visit.
Are there reciprocal benefits to other museums with a corporate membership?
No, there are no reciprocal benefits to other museums with a corporate membership. Reciprocal benefits are available to individual memberships only.
