    Celebrate National Poetry Month along with everything that is wonderful about words, at our first Adult Swim open to adults age 18 and over.

    • Word game tournaments hosted by “I’m Board” game store
    • Come armed with your best words to play “Stump the Stenographer”
    • Giant Bananagrams and Magnetic Poetry wall
    • Poster printing and Cartonera making in the Art Studio
    • Overture Center presents “You Call that a Headline?” Newsies Game, Wicked Words Cookie Art, The Kinky Sound of Motown Motormouth, and Beastly Wicked Word Web
    • Palindrome performance: Mom Returns from the Horse Races, a short one-act play entirely composed of palindromes, by local playwright Bob Jacobson, 7 p.m.
    • Show off your skills in our grownup Spelling Bee, 7:30 p.m.
    • Music by Flowpoetry, 8:30 p.m.

    Grown-up beverages available for purchase (ages 21 and up with ID); soda and pizza available for purchase by everyone.

    Web ticketing for this event has closed. Tickets will be available at the door, beginning at 6 p.m.
