    Get decked out with wooden beads and sinew thread while exploring early jewelry-making. Flex your fine motor skills and practice hand-eye coordination to design custom bracelets and necklaces out of natural, historical materials.

    Cabin Life invites you to try your hand at crafts and activities from around the time our original log cabin was built in the 1840s.

    This event is free with general museum admission.

  2. Digi Design

    Join us for a 3-hour workshop and make a light-up cuff bracelet! Design your own cuff, and we’ll show you how to wire it up with conductive thread, lights, and a battery. You will learn basic sewing skills. You will work with fabric, LEDs and wiring, starting from a prototype and then personalizing it with your own design.

    No prior skill with circuitry or sewing is required!

    Recommended ages: 9-14; younger may attend with an adult to help them sew.

    Join us in creating a fleet of cars to be used this spring and summer on our Funkyard Speedway!  We will have dozens of blank pinewood derby car bodies to be customized your very own way, then we will use that car to run races all summer long on our brand new Funkyard racetrack.  Come and design, draw, sand, hammer, paint, and assemble with us!

    Join UW Fine Arts Graduate Student Jay Ludden for S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) Engineers!

    During this weekly workshop Jay will use many exciting hands-on experiments and demonstrations like 3D Printing, stop-motion animation, electronics, to explore the principles of S.T.E.A.M.
