Local dentists offer tips to kids
WKOW
By John Tymus
MADISON (WKOW) — First Choice Dental celebrated National Dental Health Month with a kids show-and-tell at the Madison Children’s Museum on Saturday morning.
Children from all over the area got some pointers on how to keep their pearly whites clean and bright.
Parents were also offered tips to help their children develop healthy habits.
“Have your kids brush their teeth and floss their teeth with you at night, so that they see you do it, and know that it is important,” says dental hygienist Tiffany Birkren.
Event organizers said it’s hard to have healthy teeth as an adult without taking care of them while you’re young.
The morning activities were capped off by a meet-and-greet with First Choice Dental’s mascot, Pearl E. White – the brightest 6-foot tooth around.
