The Wonderground adds 10,000 square feet of new outdoor space to the museum, designed for active play in all its forms.

This weekend’s opening celebration includes outdoor fun for all ages:

Saturday programs:

Suzuki Strings of Madison concert, 10 a.m.

Wendy & DB concert, 11 a.m.

Forward! Marching Band and Wild Rumpus Circus Stilt Walkers, Noon (weather permitting)

Creative Movement with Madison Ballet, 1 p.m. in Wildernest

Wonderground Bark Art, 1-3 p.m.

Upcycled Bottle Mural with visiting artist Susie Ganch, 1-3 p.m.

Sunday programs:

Hammer Time with Findorff, 10 am-noon, Rotary Stage

DrumPower, 10-10:30 a.m. (weather permitting)

Log Cabin Living, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Wonderground Bark Art, 1-3 p.m.

Reserve tickets in advance for guaranteed entry time

All visitors to Madison Children’s Museum can reserve tickets in advance or purchase walk-up tickets for same-day play. Walk-up admission is subject to capacity limits; advance reservations are available and will guarantee you entry to the museum at the time and date listed on your ticket, even if the museum is otherwise sold-out or closed to walk-up visitors.
