The Invisible Universe
April 30, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Join researchers from the Observational Cosmology lab at UW-Madison’s Department of Physics as they show some of the tools they use to study the Big Bang. Stick your hand in a beam of infrared light, the same kind that was emitted by stars a billion years ago. And watch us make ice cream with liquid nitrogen – the same thing we use for cooling sensors on telescopes.
