Summer Showstoppers: DrumPower and Truly Remarkable Loon
July 1, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:15 pm

Join us for free family performances at Rotary Plaza Stage, just outside the museum.
DrumPower: 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Truly Remarkable Loon: 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
DrumPower is a youth leadership program that provides young people with an opportunity to learn West African Traditional, Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian drumming and their cultural/historical significance in order to build self-esteem and self-confidence through discovering the rewards of discipline, teamwork, creativity, responsibility and self-respect.
Following Drum Power’s performance, thrill to the wacky stunts, sidesplitting comedy, gravity-defying plate spinning and spectacular juggling of Madison’s craziest purple guy, Truly Remarkable Loon! From beanbag chairs to a parasol to a live mongoose, if it isn’t nailed down you can’t stop Loon from tossing it in the air in a hilarious juggling variety act that you and your family won’t soon forget.
In the event of inclement weather, the performances will take place inside the museum. Regular museum admission fees apply to indoor programming.
