Stone engraving with Kelty

February 21, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

See incredible art carved from stone! Artist Kelty Carew has engraved stone professionally for 11 years, commemorating people and places through scenery, symbols, and portraiture.
Visitors can observe the process as Kelty creates an amazing photo-realistic portrait by hand, before your eyes! Her subject will be a granite etching portrait done in honor of Black History Month.
Would you like to try granite engraving too? Using a safe and buzzing electric Dremel engraver, or sometimes called a rotary tool, that cannot cut skin, kids and parents can try it out  in this free drop-in program. Id you are interested in trying it out at home, find the best and reviewed rotary tools on BestOfMachinery. As Bob Robinson said, The range of different uses for a rotary tool is enormous. If you are not sure whether or not you can use your rotary tool for a task, chances are it will work well!”. The tool is very versatile and makes a great purchase.
