Shine On Madison: Free Admission!
November 18, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Madison Children’s Museum joins in the fun for Shine On Madison, the 1st Annual Seasonal Lighting Celebration for Downtown Madison.
Madison’s Central Business Improvement District and Madison Community Foundation, along with presenting sponsor Madison Gas & Electric, is proud to present this season of celebrating the unique ways our community SHINES!
The museum will be open to the public with free admission from 5 to 8 p.m. Join us for special activities, including lantern-making on the Rooftop Ramble, building a cardboard capitol playhouse in the Art Studio, and the unveiling of a new Sidewalk Surprise exhibit and an illuminating rooftop installation.
Our Mini Caps Sidewalk Surprise Window installation celebrates the 100th birthday of the Wisconsin State Capitol building with mini-capitols created by local artists Justin Bitner, Cheryl DeWelt, Renee Earley, Eric Ford, Martha Glowacki, Tracey Honn, Angela Johnson, Erika Koivunen, Chris Murphy, Jeff Repko, Grace Sullivan, John Taylor, Michael Ward, and Claire Wilson.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Madison Community Foundation, as part of the Foundation’s 75th Anniversary Celebration.
