Experimenting with Philosophers: What Are You Sure Of?
August 4, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Do you know you have arms? Have you ever been tricked by an optical illusion? What can we be sure about? Your friends from Madison Public Philosophy think about these questions quite a lot, but we need your help! In this session, we’ll be conducting experiments that will help us uncover what we can—and can’t—know about the world around us. Children (and adults!) are invited to stop by the Celebrations Room between 1:00 to 3:00pm on August 4th to explore our interactive stations and think about one of philosophy’s oldest questions. Madison Public Philosophy is a Philosophy for Children organization run by philosophy graduate and undergraduate students from UW-Madison.
