Lion Dancing celebrating the Chinese New Year
February 17, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 1:15 pm
Join us in celebrating Chinese New Year with a special Chinese Lion Dance performance! We are excited to welcome the Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association to the museum for a traditional Sar Ping style Chinese lion dance to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Dog.
Chinese New Year is typically a two week or more celebration that kicks off around February 16th and typically changes year to year depending on when the lunar new year starts- on the second new moon of the year. The time is spent enjoying visits with family and friends, special meals, fireworks, and gift giving.
