Karen Ann Hoffman- Iroquois Beadwork Artist

Join us for an interactive workshop with artist Karen Ann Hoffman.
Karen Ann Hoffman creates beautiful decorative pieces following the traditions of Iroquois raised beadwork. This style of Woodland beadwork embodies Iroquois worldviews. Karen Ann is a member of the Oneida nation, one of the six nations of the Iroquois.
From 10 am- 2 pm, Karen will be demonstrating and talking about her beadwork as she creates a miniature beaded canoe. Visitors can create their own canoes from paper and art materials in this free workshop.
From 2-4 pm, Karen will offer a beading workshop (for participants ages 9 and up) to create a canoe using felt and seed beads. Class fee is $6 and covers all materials) 12 participants max.
