Experimenting with Philosophers: A Workshop for Big Kids

August 10, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Do you know you have arms? Have you ever been tricked by an optical illusion? What can we be sure about? Your friends from Madison Public Philosophy think about these questions quite a lot, but we need your help! In this workshop, we’ll be conducting experiments that will help us uncover what we can—and can’t—know about the world around us. Children (and adults!) are invited to register for one of two 45-minute sessions beginning at 1:00 and 2:00pm on August 10th to explore our interactive stations and think about one of philosophy‘s oldest questions. Madison Public Philosophy is a Philosophy for Children organization run by philosophy graduate and undergraduate students from UW-Madison.
