Global Youth Climate Strike Events at Madison Children’s Museum
September 20, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
In honor of the world’s children and the Global Youth Climate Strike, Madison Children’s Museum will be open and free to everyone on Friday, September 20.
A last-minute, anonymous gift from a local family has provided the funding to make this possible.
All visitors are asked to check-in at the front desk, but no admission fee will be charged. We will be open on Friday, September 20, 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
Madison Children’s Museum supports peaceful participation in the youth-driven Global Youth Climate Strike on September 20, 2019 in Madison and will be offering climate education and civic engagement opportunities for families throughout the day and following week. We believe youth advocacy can drive more immediate collective, civic, and systemic solutions to our shared climate challenges. We lift their voices, welcome their ideas, proposals, and commitments, and encourage everyone to get involved and keep learning so that together we can work toward more sustainable solutions.
Read our blog for our full statement on the Youth Climate Strike.
