Baba Yaga Printmaking Workshop

Join UW visiting artist Jonatas Chimen for a monotype printmaking workshop inspired by the Slavic legend of of Baba Yaga!
Learn the story of Baba Yaga and create narrative-based art through the technique of Monotype printmaking.
During International Education Week, November 12-18, the UW Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies Program (LACIS), hosts Brazilian-American Symbolist artist, author, and academic, Jonatas Chimen, as its first “Distinguished Alumni Artist-in-Residence”. Mr. Chimen graduated with his B.A. in Latin American Studies from UW-Madison and then went on to complete an M.A. of Fine Arts from Florida International University. This workshop is free with museum admission, but online registration is recommended due to limited space.
