Explore Native American food traditions with our special guests, Misty Cook and Karen Anne Hoffman.
We’re getting hands-on with Native American foods by making a special tea, an Oneida bread, and some ‘Bear Grease’ (butter) all from scratch before getting to share and eat it!
This workshop will be an in-depth exploration into the food lives of some of the Native peoples of Wisconsin while building confidence in the kitchen. Three hour-long sessions will be held, at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. In the event of a weather-related closure, this event will be moved to January 22.
Fee: $5 per child; members receive a 10% discount. Pre-registration is required.
